• Here's how you can foster a culture of feedback in your computer repair workplace.

  There has been a long standing culture of hoarding knowledge in fear that if others know what you know, you can be replaced. In reality, when we share knowledge and collaborate, the team becomes better as a whole. We need to challenge each other, foster healthy competition, and strategically share our personal bag of tricks. Letting people work through the problem on their own builds technical prowess and troubleshooting ability. But it must be followed up with tribal knowledge to make it a solid skill.

• How can machine vision improve safety in manufacturing robotics?

  Machine vision can be used in robotics for safety and hazard monitoring by detecting, locating, and identifying potential threats or anomalies using different types of sensors, such as infrared, ultraviolet, and thermal cameras.Infrared sensors can measure the heat emitted by objects and detect temperature differences, which can indicate fire, gas leaks, or overheating equipment. Ultraviolet sensors can detect invisible radiation, such as UV rays, X-rays, or gamma rays, which can cause harm to humans or damage to materials. Thermal cameras can capture the heat distribution of a scene and identify hot spots, cold spots, or thermal patterns, which can indicate faults, defects, or abnormal conditions.

  If there were such a thing as redundant encoders, you come very close to a 100% percent reliable process by adding sensor feedback.

  Data Preprocessing: Raw data collected from the SCADA system may contain noise, outliers, or missing values. Data preprocessing techniques, such as filtering, normalization, and imputation, should be applied to clean and prepare the data for analysis.Performance Monitoring: Develop performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the SCADA system's efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness. These metrics can be derived from the data analysis results and provide a quantitative basis for evaluating the system's performance.
