Low Carb Keto Bread Recipe (1)

I’ve had so many people ask if they could cook my90-Second Breadin the oven or if they could prepare multiple batches to last for several days. After I multiplied my90-Second French Toastinto alarge loaf,I knew I could do the same for 90-Second Bread.

I increased my original recipe several times and made the perfect-sized loaf that cooked fabulously in the oven. As always, I am going to be 100% honest with you. Just like my 90-Second Bread, I would not suggest eating this Keto/Low Carb Bread straight out of the oven. Instead, cut a slice and fry it in a skillet in butter or toast it up in a toaster oven or air fryer.

I don’t know why this step makes such a difference, but I promise it does. I’ve heard so many people saying they hated 90-Second Bread until they found my version, and it changed their opinion. Still, the key is doing something after the bread comes out of the oven to crisp it up. Otherwise, it does taste eggy. However, it will knock your socks off once you crisp it up.

HOW TO MAKE BREAD KETO-FRIENDLY

We all love bread. However, bread isn’t the most keto-friendly thing in our pantry. To make bread keto-friendly, we have to make a couple of substitutions. First, we need to cut out the flour and replace it with coconut flour. Coconut flour is great for the keto diet because it doesn’t have a lot of carbs yet still provides a floury texture to the bread. The next ingredient to make bread keto-friendly is eggs. Eggs provide a fluffy thickness to the bread, so it forms a loaf. Now you have a keto-friendly loaf of bread that your whole family will enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • Coconut Flour– This is a substitute for all-purpose flour. It combines all the ingredients together and makes the bread fluffy.
  • Eggs– This helps to make the bread even fluffier. The eggs add volume to the mixture since coconut flour doesn’t make it as fluffy as regular flour.
  • Butter– This adds a nice creaminess to the bread to make it dense.
  • Sour Cream– This gives the bread moisture, so it’s not crumbly.
  • Baking Powder
  • Cheddar Cheese– This makes the bread more savory.

Steps to Making Low Carb Bread:

Step 1:Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2:Melt the butter and set it aside until it is room temperature.

Step 3:Once the butter is at room temperature, add all other ingredients and stir to combine.

Step 4: Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

Step 5:Pour batter into a loaf pan and cook for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.

Step 6: Fry each slice in butter or toast in a toaster or air fryer before serving.

Tip:If you skip this step, your bread may taste eggy and not like fluffy bread.

What If I Don’t Have Coconut Flour?

You can always sub for almond flour if you don’t have coconut flour. Remember, the ratio for switching from coconut flour to almond flour is for every 1/4 cup of coconut flour, use 1 cup of almond flour.

Why Is There Cheese in This Low Carb Bread?

The cheese adds a savory flavor to the bread. The cheese also melts into the bread, which helps the bread to stick together.

What If I Don’t Have Sour Cream?

If you don’t have sour cream, you can substitute full-fat Greek yogurt instead!

What Can I Eat With This Bread?

You can eat this bread as is, with some butter, as a sandwich, with cream cheese, etc.
