Honey Almond Raisin Granola, Homemade Granola, Granola recipe (1)

About a year ago, Beth inspired me to make granola and I’ve been whipping up different kinds of granolas ever since. This one is a simple, easy recipe that uses ingredients that I usually have in my pantry. If you haven’t made homemade granola before give it a try. You’ll be amazed how much better it is than granola you buy in the store.

I usually make a double batch and give one batch a way. It makes a great, healthy gift for a neighbor or a friend. If I’m baking a double batch I cook it for 10 minutes longer.

Ahh up there meant to say it comes out powdery if I stir it during cooking. I really like it clumpy!

I made this but it didn’t clump at all 🙁 what could I have done wrong to make it come out as powdery oatmeal? I used the same amounts of everything but just slightly less brown sugar… thanks for your help!

Hi Jenna – perhaps you left out an ingredient or added extra oats inadvertently? Are you sure you put in the oil and the honey as well as the brown sugar?

Thank you so much for this recipe! I just made a batch of this today, minus the raisins and flax meal, since I didn’t have any on hand. I love the clumps! It’s definitely the best granola I’ve ever made and I’ll be making it again! But next time I might need to do a double batch! 😛

I love how chunky this granola looks! Sometimes it’s too small….I like a nice big piece 🙂

Don’t stir while you are cooking or be tempted to open the oven —- as mine comes out clumpy if I do that and very crunchy if I stir it. Lower temps e.g. 210 also result in s more powdery product. I love this recipe though but add cranberries and raisins. I am not a very experienced granola baker but just thought I woul give my two cents as I am a researcher! ?
