Are you looking for a super easy meal to throw together? This Crock Pot Ravioli Meatball Casserole recipe that kids of all ages love!Cris here.

This Crock Pot Ravioli Meatball Casserole is actually a slow cooker adaptation of our popular ovenRavioli Lasagna over on our sister site. We love Ravioli Lasagna but the other day I just wanted to run a few errands and come home to dinner done. So, I grabbed my Casserole Crock Pot and altered things a bit and the results were just perfect!

Because I was on the run, I decided to use frozen meatballs instead of browning ground beef. I was also out of spaghetti sauce, so I decided to use some of my favorite pizza sauce and we loved it!

This is definitely one of my daughter’s favorites, however, my mom LOVES this recipe. She tells me all the time how much she loves it. So it is safe to say that kids of ages will enjoy it!

This was great! I used spaghetti sauce too. We aren’t big pizza sauce people. Not the taste I had imagined. It was better. It took longer to cook in my casserole crock on high, but worth the wait.

I wanted to clean some things out of the freezer and found your recipe. It was so easy and very good and filling. I didn’t have pizza sauce so used a jar of marinara and it was delicious.

Yeah, in a regular crock pot my dinner was still cold in the middle at 2 hours. Didn’t notice you had a different kind of crock pot…at 7:30 at night it still wasn’t ready. 🙁 Had to microwave.

The ravioli were a little starchy too…

I really hate to hear that Sally. We try to always tell what kind of slow cooker we are using (under the Slow Cooker Recommendations heading) so you guys can adjust your cooking time as needed. My guess is the ravioli was starchy due to the microwave.

What exactly is a “casserole” crock pot. I have two pots, one the old fashioned, true labeled Crock Pot that is tall and round, and another one that is much newer and is oval. What does this third one look iike and how is it used differenty than the ones I have.

Hi Sharon, I know Cris just described them with a link, but I’ve got to tell you from experience, they’re just awesome! It’s only a 3.5 quart capacity, BUT, the crockery is spread out into a 9″X13″ crockery-baking-dish, that’s oven-safe for browning (not the lid, just the crockery). I can’t highly recommend it enough. I go a little overboard with crock pots, as I now own three of the casserole types (2 analog, 1 digital — along with all my other oval crock pots); and I have to say that the casserole types are a welcome addition! Enjoy!

      Hi Deanna & Jay-
Yes– any casserole crock pot recipe can be made in a regular slow cooker. However, time will vary from slow cooker to slow cooker depending on shape, size, age and many other factors. My guess is that it may take a little longer in an oval or round slow cooker because the recipe will be stacked more densely. I would check it at 90 min-2 hours and make sure the meatballs and ravioli are fully heated. If not, I would keep cooking it in 30 min increments until it is fully heated and then make a note of the time it took for future use. Hope that helps.
      Enjoy!
