#1: Noodle Pumpkins
This noodle pumpkin craft is adorable for a Halloween craft!
I love the use of different noodles for this craft too. It was fun using the wheel pasta.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardboard/paper
- acrylic paint
- ziplock bags
- parchment paper
- art trays
- googly eyes
- glue
- pasta (wheel and spiral)
B. Set-up
You can either paint the pasta noodles by hand or place them inside a ziplock bag with some acrylic paint and shake it up. Then, dump out the pasta on parchment paper to let it dry.
The wheel pasta won’t be completely covered with this method because of all the holes in the pasta, so you may have to hand-paint the spots it missed!
Then, you can paint the spiral noodles for the leaves of the pumpkins.
While the pasta is drying, you can draw and paint the pumpkins! Add googly eyes and a funny face to each one.
C. Activity
Once the pasta is dry, add a small amount of glue to the noodle and stick it down to the pumpkin around the face you created.
Then, glue down the leaf next to the stem you drew!

#2: Leaf Ghosts
What a fun combination of a fall and Halloween craft! This is a must-try leaf craft this season.
Making ghosts out of leaves is REALLY easy, and they turn out so cool.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- leaves
- acrylic paint
- black Sharpie
- white chalk marker
B. Set-up
Head outside and have the kids pick some leaves! We chose to pick maple leaves because they are big and look more like ghosts, but you can use any sort of leaf for this project.
C. Activity
Have the kids paint the leaves using acrylic paint! We used white, orange, black, and purple for Halloween colors.
Let the leaves dry! This will take about 20 minutes.
Then, the kids will use a black marker to create the ghost’s face. If you decide to make a black leaf, they will use a white chalk marker to make a face!
You can even create decor using these leaves by using a hole puncher to punch a hole at the top of the leaves and string a string through it. Hang it up on the mantel!

#3: Bat Handprint Craft
This Halloween craft is just adorable! It’s a must-try activity for the season.
Handprint crafts are always the ones we keep around; I love looking back at them.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- glue stick
- googly eyes
- paint
- paintbrush
- scissors
B. Set-up
To create the bat, make a circle for the face, an oval for the body, and two triangles for the ears out of colored paper.
C. Activity
Paint your child’s hand and make a print on paper. Make sure to press down on their hand, so the print shows up completely.
Once the handprint is dry, you can cut it out!
Paste all the parts of the bat onto a piece of paper using a glue stick.
Lastly, draw a smile on the bat’s face and create two triangles for the bat’s teeth. How cute is this Halloween craft?!
#4: Straw Skeletons
This is an adorable Halloween craft that works great for a kid’s Halloween party craft.
I am the room parent for my daughter’s second-grade class, and we are doing this one because it’s quick and easy!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- white paper straws
- glue
- paper
- glue stick
- marker
B. Set-up
Create a skeleton head shape on white cardstock paper, cut it out, and have your child paste it onto black paper.
C. Activity
Together you and your kids can start cutting the white straws. I will warn you, they may fly off all over the place, my tip is to grab a bag and try to cut them into the bag to avoid this issue.
Glue the straws in place to create a skeleton! This is an awesome way to talk about the bones in the body as well.
You can create a bow or bow tie- we used scrapbook-colored paper for this!
#5: Salt Painted Spiderwebs
Salt painting is my favorite activity to do with my kids. They love watching the watercolors flow through the salt.
This Halloween craft for kids is a must-try activity this year!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- salt
- glue
- watercolors
- pencil
- paintbrush
- art tray
B. Set-up
On cardstock paper, draw the spiderweb using a pencil. Then, outline your drawings in school glue.
C. Activity
Have the kids sprinkle salt on top of the glue. There should be a TON of salt on the paper. They should remove the excess into the trash.
You can choose to do this activity right away or wait till the salt dries. I like doing it both ways, but if you decide to wait, I think the colors turn out better.
They will use watercolors to paint the spiderweb! They can use Halloween colors or whatever colors they want.
Let it dry and see how beautiful it turns out! This is such a great spider craft for kids.

#6: Frankenstein Handprints
These Frankenstein Halloween crafts are a must-try this season!
I love making handprint crafts with the kids. They are so fun to look back on as they grow. They are always the ones that we keep in our craft organizer.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- white paper
- paint
- paintbrush
- glue stick
- black acrylic paint marker
- googly eyes
- glue
- scissors
B. Set-up
Paint the middle of your child’s hand green and their fingers black. I suggest starting with the green first, so the black doesn’t start to run down their hand.
C. Activity
Make prints on white cardstock paper.We always use cardstock paper for projects because it’s stronger and holds up better.
Wait for the prints to dry, and cut them out! Then, have the kids use a glue stick to paste them onto colored paper.
To create Frankenstein’s face, glue on googly eyes, draw on a mouth, and some markings on his face. We used a black acrylic paint marker.
Lastly, create his bolts out of black paper, cut them out, and paste them on the sides of his face! What a cute Halloween handprint craft!

#7: Paper Bag Haunted Houses
This is one of my favorite Halloween crafts that we have done.
It makes for the cutest decor around the house for the season.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper bag
- acrylic paint
- scrapbook paper
- glue
- cardstock paper
- cotton balls
- hot glue (optional)
B. Set-up
Paint your paper bag with acrylic paint. We like to use acrylic paint because the colors show up so boldly.
While you are waiting for it to dry, you can start creating the pieces of the haunted house.
C. Activity
We made 4 windows out of cardstock paper (2 rectangular windows and 2 semi-circle windows).
Then, create small rectangles for the window panes. We used scrapbook paper for these.
Make a roof for your haunted houses by cutting a large piece of cardstock or scrapbook that is just slightly bigger than the paper bag. Use a hot glue gun to glue this on.
We glued some broken-up cotton balls on the roof to look like spider webs. Then, I used a hot glue gun to attach some small spiders on it.
Make another rectangle for the chimney. Use a glue stick to glue it to the back of the haunted house.
Lastly, make a ghost shape and paste it to the door of the haunted house.
This is the best Halloween craft for kids of all ages and adults!
#8: Paper Witch Craft
I have the cutest Halloween craft for you to try this year!
Make these not-so-spooky paper witch crafts with the kids. We made this one after watching Hocus Pocus.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- gems
- marker
B. Set-up
Grab a piece of colored cardstock paper for the face of the witch. Then, grab the other colors of paper you want to use.
C. Activity
Create eyes, a triangle nose, strips of paper for the hair, triangle teeth, and a witch hat out of paper.
This is such a great Halloween craft that works on scissors skills!
Paste all the pieces you created on the witch. We added some sparkly gems on the strip of the hat as well.
#9: Fingerprint Pumpkins
We made these fingerprint pumpkins last year, and they turned out so cute.
It’s so much easier to do these Halloween crafts with the kids instead of carving them!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- pumpkins (real or fake)
- acrylic paint
- acrylic paint markers
- paint tray
B. Set-up
Grab your supplies and put the paint in a paint tray.
C. Activity
Your kids will dip their fingers into the paint and make prints all around the pumpkins.
We made spiders and ghosts. You can also make little pumpkins by using orange paint!
Once the prints have dried all around the pumpkin, use an acrylic paint marker to add the details.
For the ghosts, you’ll add eyes and a mouth; the spiders will need 8 legs, and if you made pumpkins, add a stem and a leaf.

#10: Fork Print Halloween Crafts
Fork-printing crafts are fun and easy to do! These Halloween crafts turn out adorable.
We made a black cat, a pumpkin, and Frankenstein.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- forks
- acrylic paint
- cardstock paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- pom
- glue
B. Set-up
Add your paint to a paper plate to make it easy to dip the fork in the paint!
C. Activity
Trace a bowl on cardstock paper to get a perfect circle shape! This will make it easy for your kids to know where to make the prints.
For Frankenstein, create a head shape out of green paper (a square) and semi-circles for the ears.
They dip the fork in the paint and make prints all around the circles or on top of the head for Frankenstein.
After all the prints are made, you can add the details! The cat has paper ears, paper whiskers, and a pink pom.
Frankenstein has paper eyes and some marker detail on the face. Lastly, the pumpkin needs eyes, a nose, a mouth, and a stem!
#11: Spider Suckers
Make these adorable spider lollipops for a Halloween party or trick-or-treat this year!
This is a super easy Halloween craft that kids will LOVE! They can even help make them too.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- Tootsie Pops or Blow Pop lollipops
- pipe cleaners
- scissors
- hot glue (optional)
- googly eyes
B. Set-up
Grab 4 black pipe cleaners and cut 1/3 off of them.
C. Activity
Lay 4 pipe cleaners down next to each other and place the lollipop about 1/3 of the way in on the pipe cleaners.
Grab the longer side of the pipe cleaners and wrap it around on top of the lollipops. Then, wrap the other side around so it looks like they are crossing over each other.
Wrap the longer side over again. Then, separate the 4 pipe cleaners so they look like spider legs.
Bend each pipe cleaner at the bottom to look like an L shape.
Then, if you have sticky googly eyes, you can have the kids peel off the back and stick them on the body of the spider, or you can hot glue them.
#12: Puffy Paint Ghosts
Making your own puffy paint is fun and easy! This Halloween craft is a must-try this season!
This is a great sensory craft for kids too. They will love seeing how it feels when it dries.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- foam shaving cream
- glue
- cardstock paper
- spoon
- paintbrush
B. Set-up
To make the puffy paint, mix equal parts of foam shaving cream and glue together. If you want it to be extra puffy when it dries, add a bit more shaving cream.
C. Activity
Draw a ghost shape on cardstock paper so they kids know where to paint. They will scoop the paint out with a spoon and spread it with a paintbrush.
Fill in the entire ghost shape. Then, create eyes and a mouth for the ghost using black cardstock paper.
Place the paper on the ghost, and it will dry and stay right where you place them.
It takes about 3 hours for the puffy paint to dry. Place in a safe spot to dry!

#13: Paper Bag Pumpkins
How cute is this pumpkin Halloween craft? It’s SUPER easy too! It makes for adorable decor as well for your porch or inside your house!
Kids will love making this simple craft for fall or Halloween! This is a fun one you can even do at a kid’s Halloween party.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper bags
- paint
- paintbrush
- twine
- newspaper
- pipe cleaners
B. Set-up
Stuff your paper bag with newspaper. You want to fill it about halfway full with newspaper. Then, scrunch the bag so it looks like a pumpkin shape and a stem.
You will separate the two parts by tying a piece of twine in a bow.
C. Activity
The kids will paint the bottom of the pumpkin orange, and they can paint the stem green, or they can leave it blank.
Curl a green pipe cleaner around your finger and wrap it around the twine. You can add one or two pipe cleaners.
You can choose to add a face for the pumpkin out of black card stock paper, or you can leave them blank.

#14: Handprint Pumpkins
Handprint crafts are just the cutest thing. We have to do them for each article I make because I love them that much.
This pumpkin Halloween craft is the perfect keepsake to try this fall season.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- paint
- paintbrush
- glue stick
- black acrylic paint marker
B. Set-up
Paint your little one’s hand orange and make prints on white card stock paper. Press the entire hand down so the entire handprint will show up.
You’ll have to wait for it to dry to continue. It takes about 20 minutes to dry completely.
C. Activity
Cut out the handprint. When you are cutting it out, make sure to leave some space at the top for the stem and leaf.
Paint on the stem and make a fingerprint for the leaf!
Have the kids create a face for the pumpkins using a black acrylic paint marker. Then, they will use a glue stick to glue it down to the colored paper!
Write a message on the paper! This is a cute gift to give someone or to keep at home for yourself.
#15: Monster Teeth Count
What a fun and colorful way to practice counting skills! Your kids will be hooked the second you say that candy corn is involved.
This Halloween craft and activity is great for toddlers and preschoolers.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- scissors
- Sharpie
- candy corn
- glue (optional)
B. Set-up
Create your monster faces on colored paper by drawing a circle and horns! You can create this all in one or make your circle and attach the horns on the side with a glue stick if that is easier for you.
Also, make the inside of the monster’s mouth by making a semi-circle of red paper and paste it on.
C. Activity
Make a face for the monster using white and black paper to make the eyes, or just use googly eyes.
Write a number on the side of the monster’s face using a marker!
Have your little ones look at the number, say it, and then count how many pieces of candy corn they should put in the monster’s mouth.
They can either glue them on or just place them on. If you just place them on, this can be used repeatedly!

#16: Puffy Paint Pumpkins
Making your own puffy paint is EASY, and it’s fun! This is a great pumpkin Halloween craft for preschoolers!
You just need to mix 3 ingredients together that you most likely have right at home.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- white school glue
- foam shaving cream
- food coloring
- bowls
- scissors
B. Set-up
Create the colors of puffy paint that you want by mixing equal parts white school glue and foam shaving cream. Then, add in the colors of food coloring you want. We used orange, green and brown.
Also, create pumpkin shapes on white or black card stock paper.You have to use card stock paper because it’s thicker and it’ll hold up better than regular paper.
C. Activity
Use a spoon to mix the puffy paint together. Then, scoop it out with the spoon, put the paint on the pumpkin shape, and spread it using a paintbrush.
Once you are done painting the pumpkin, create the stem and leaf with the puffy paint.
Lastly, make eyes, a nose, and a mouth for your pumpkin and place them on top!
Wait for it to dry (it takes about a night to fully dry), and see how it feels! This is such a fun sensory pumpkin craft.
#17: Splat Pumpkins
Splat crafts couldn’t be any easier and more fun for the kids. This pumpkin Halloween craft is PERFECT for toddlers and preschoolers.
My favorite one is the black and orange one since it’s a little different!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paint
- cardstock paper
- scissors
- glue stick
B. Set-up
On a white piece of cardstock paper, add orange paint to one side of the paper in a circular shape. We like the paints listed above because it works great for projects like these for little hands and for the correct amount of paint.
C. Activity
Fold the piece of paper over and use your hands to press down on the paint to make it spread to the other side. Open it back up to see how it looks!You can always add more paint and do the process again if you don’t like the shape.
Then, create a stem and leaf for the pumpkin and paste those on using a glue stick.
Lastly, make a face for your pumpkin out of black paper and just lay it down on the wet paint! It will stick!
#18: Frankenstein Cutting Craft
This is the cutest scissor skills activity that you will ever do with your kids!
Try this not-so-scary Halloween craft with your kids to practice their cutting skills.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored cardstock paper
- chalk marker
- scissors
- glue stick
- glue
- Sharpie
B. Set-up
Create Frankenstein’s face by making squares. Then, make semi-circles for his ears and paste them on.
Make his hair by placing his head down you made on the black paper so it will be the size you need. Next, draw a rectangle and make zig-zags at the bottom to look like Frankenstein’s hair.
Lastly, create his bolts out of black paper and paste them onto the sides of his face.
C. Activity
Paste the hair on top of his face. Then, make lines using a chalk marker for the kids to know where to cut. These lines can be straight, curvy, zig-zags, etc.
Have the kids create his face by gluing on googly eyes and making facial expressions using a marker!
Lastly, have the kids cut Frankenstein’s hair! They should try to stay on the lines you drew as much as possible.

#19: Spiderweb Popsicle Sticks
This is one of my favorite Halloween crafts that we have done.
I love the different colors of spider webs, and the kids enjoyed using the thread to create them.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
B. Set-up
Have the kids paint the popsicle sticks using acrylic paint. You can make them a whole bunch of different colors or stick with one. You need 4 popsicle sticks for each web that you want to make.
Wait for them to dry; this will take about 30 minutes to completely dry.
Once they are dry, the adult will hot glue them together. First, make a plus sign with the sticks, then glue the other two in the shape of an X behind the plus sign.
C. Activity
The kids will take the colored thread and wrap them around the spider web. Have them start at the bottom of the sticks by wrapping them around each stick, then make their way up towards the top.
Once they have wrapped the yarn around the sticks, grab a small piece of tape and tape the end to the back of one of the sticks. This will hold the yarn in place!
If you want to add toy spiders onto the popsicle sticks, the adult can hot glue them on.
#20: Cotton Ball Ghost Craft
How cute is this cotton ball ghost? I love how it looks 3D! This is such a soft and fun ghost craft for kids to make.
Plus, it’s super simple! I love all these Halloween crafts just need a few supplies, and they can be done in a pinch.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- cotton balls
- white cardstock paper
- glue
B. Set-up
Draw a large ghost shape on white cardstock paper and cut it out.
C. Activity
Have the kids glue the ghost shape to a black piece of paper. Then, they will add a layer of glue around the ghost shape.
They will place cotton balls on the entire ghost!
Then, create a face for your ghost out of black paper. Then, use glue to stick it on top of the cotton balls! This is a fun sensory ghost craft for kids.

#21: Sponge Ghosts
Sponges are a great craft supply for kids to create with. They are easy for the kids to hold, and the projects turn out too cool!

Make a ghost shape on a sponge and cut it out using scissors.
C. Activity
Have the kids paint white paint onto the sponge and make prints on black paper.The kids shouldn’t dip the sponge into the paint-this method works, but sometimes there can be too much paint on the sponge, and it won’t make the best shape.
You can make as many prints as you want on the paper! Then, have the kids glue googly eyes onto each ghost and make a mouth using a black acrylic paint marker!

#22: Milk Jug Ghost Craft
I have the perfect outdoor Halloween craft for you to create with the kids this year.
These milk jug ghosts are easy and SO cute lit up outside.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- empty milk jugs
- acrylic paint
- box cutter
- tea lights
B. Set-up
Rinse out any milk that could be left in the jug.
C. Activity
Create an opening in the back of the milk jug to add to the tea lights. You’ll do this with a box cutter.

Then, create a face for the ghosts using black acrylic paint. We made two eyes and a mouth.
Lastly, add the tea lights in and place them outside! They are adorable, lighting up on trick or treat.
#23: BOO Ghost Handprint
This handprint Halloween craft is the best keepsake.
You can do this ghost craft in two different ways. You can make ghost handprint cards, or you can create a BOO card!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- white paint
- black acrylic paint marker
- cardstock paper
- chalk
B. Set-up
Paint your child’s hand white and make prints on black cardstock paper. Make sure to press the hand all the way down so it shows up completely.
C. Activity
If you are making ghost cards, cut the handprints out. If you are making the BOO card, create two handprints next to each other on a black sheet of card stock.
When the handprints are dry, use a black acrylic paint marker to make the eyes and mouth for the ghosts.
If you are making the BOO card, use chalk to write the letter B. Write a cute Halloween message on the ghost cards.

Using Q-tips is a fun way for kids to practice fine motor skills and create art.

How to do this activity

Have the kids dip their Q-tips in one color of the paint. Then, they will make prints around the bats.

#25: Toilet Paper Roll Bats
Toilet paper roll crafts are FUN and easy to do with the kids. I love them because you always have the main supply on hand too!
This bat craft for Halloween is simple and is so fun to hang up around the house.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- toilet paper rolls
- black acrylic paint
- googly eyes
- black card stock
- pipe cleaners
- hot glue
- black yarn
B. Set-up
Paint a toilet paper roll black using acrylic paint. Then, wait for them to dry. This will take about 20 minutes for it to dry fully.
C. Activity
While waiting for the toilet paper roll to dry, you create the bat’s wings, teeth, and ears out of card stock paper.
Cut a pipe cleaner into three parts. You’ll need a longer piece for the leg and two smaller pieces for the feet. Wrap the smaller piece around the longer one to create the feet.
When the roll is dry, stick on the googly eyes, then the adult will use hot glue to attach the wings, ears, and pipe cleaners for the feet.
Grab a piece of black yarn and hang it up using tape. Then, hang the bats upside down on the yarn by wrapping the pipe cleaner feet around the yarn! How cute is this?!

#26: Watercolor Resist Spiderweb
Resist crafts are so fun! The kids love revealing the designs each time.
This Halloween craft is SUPER easy and turns out really cool!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper plate
- watercolors
- white crayon/white pastel
B. Set-up
Use a white crayon to make lines like a spiderweb on a paper plate. You need to make sure to press down so it’ll show up when it gets painted!
If you use a white oil pastel, the colors will show up well without pressing down hard with a regular white crayon.
C. Activity
The kids will use watercolors to paint the plate! They will love revealing the white crayon marks!
Use black or purple watercolors. Then, add some glue or tape to add some small toy spiders to the plates!

How to do this activity

C. Activity
While the handprint is drying, create the details for the witch.
Cut small strips of paper for the hair, a triangle nose, and a witch hat. Paste these pieces in place using a glue stick.
Then, add googly eyes! Draw on a mouth, and you have such a cute witch craft!

The kids will scoop the paint out using a spoon and spread it with a paintbrush.
Once they will the whole shape in, they can add the details. For Frankenstein, add some small paper rectangles for the mouth and face.
Just place the googly eyes on; they will stick when it dries!
Lastly, add a paper buckle to the witch hat. We also add a little glitter too. Let it dry for about 2-3 hours, and check out how it feels!
#30: Mickey Painted Pumpkins
This Halloween craft Mickey Mouse pumpkin, is TOO cute and fun to make for the season.
Painting pumpkins is more fun than carving them, if you ask me.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- craft pumpkins/real pumpkins
- acrylic paint
- cardstock
- hot glue
- poms
- Q-tips
- yarn
B. Set-up
Create a Mickey pumpkin by painting the top of the pumpkin black and the bottom red. Then, wait for it to dry!
C. Activity
Create Mickey ears out of black cardstock paper by drawing semi-circles on cardstock paper.
Have an adult hot glue the ears down on the pumpkin. I bent the bottom of the paper so it would sit on the sides of the pumpkin.
Lastly, hot glue poms or buttons at the front where the red and black paint meets to make Mickey!

#31: Halloween Oobleck
Oobleck is the absolute BEST sensory activity for Halloween. Oobleck is a liquid, and a solid-it’s pretty much the coolest thing.
This isn’t quite a Halloween craft, but I had to throw it in this article because it’s too good not to share.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cornstarch
- water
- food coloring
- witch fingers
- toy skeletons
- toy eyeballs
- sensory bin
B. Set-up
Mix two cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of water in a bowl to make oobleck. Then, add in the food coloring that you want! We chose green for Halloween, so it looked like slime.
C. Activity
Add the oobleck into a sensory bin and place in your Halloween toys!
Your kids will love the feeling of the oobleck because when they pick it up, it can be a solid, but then it’ll quickly become a liquid.
The kids can cover the Halloween toys in the oobleck, and they can also create a witch’s brew using small cauldrons!

#32: Q-tip Candy Corn
Candy corn is a staple Halloween treat! Even if you don’t love their taste, you’ll still love this Halloween craft.
How cute are these little candy corns? I love the facial expressions on them.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black paper
- paint
- Q-tips
- googly eyes
- glue
- paintbrush
B. Set-up
Draw the candy corn shapes on black paper using a pencil so the kids know where to make the prints with the Q-tips. You can even draw the stripes on them so they know when to start a new color.
C. Activity
Have the kids dip their Q-tips into the white paint and create the tops of the candy corn. Then, work your way down on each one that you make!
Glue googly eyes on each candy corn. Then, you can make a smile or different mouth on each one using a paintbrush and black paint.
This is such a fun and easy fine-motor craft for kids!
#33: Pumpkin Seed Craft
What do you do with all those pumpkin seeds after you carve your pumpkin? We eat many of them, but sometimes we have WAY too many.
I decided to use them for a Halloween craft, which turned out so cute!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- acrylic paint
- pumpkin seeds
- glue
- googly eyes
- Sharpie
- plastic bag
B. Set-up
Have the kids add some pumpkin seeds to a plastic bag and add a few squirts of acrylic paint. Shake it up and dump it out on parchment paper to dry. Make sure to spread them out on the parchment paper so they don’t stick together.
While waiting for the seeds to dry, draw and paint a pumpkin shape on paper. You can paint the stem and leaf as well on the pumpkin.
C. Activity
Glue on googly eyes and draw on a mouth to each pumpkin using a Sharpie when the pumpkin is dry.
Have the kids glue the pumpkin seeds to each pumpkin. Then, they can just use regular school glue to paste them onto the pumpkin.
This is such a cute and fun sensory Halloween craft for kids!
#34: Monster Handprint Craft
Here’s another cute Halloween craft to try.
My son loved this one because he can’t get enough of adding on googly eyes to projects.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- white paper
- washable paint
- googly eyes
- glue
- scissors
- glue stick
B. Set-up
Paint your little one’s hand the color they would like their monster to be. Then, have them place their hand down on the white paper. Press their entire hand down so the print will show up completely.
C. Activity
Cut out the handprint and use a glue stick to paste it down onto colored paper! We used orange construction paper for this project.
Then, have the kids use glue to attach as many googly eyes as they want to on their monster!
Have them create a mouth using a black marker! This is a cute Halloween craft you can make for a grandparent or just at home to put on the refrigerator for the season!
#35: Paper Spiders
There’s something so easy about regular old paper crafts. Sometimes you just need something easy that takes a few supplies.
This Halloween craft is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to make.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- googly eyes
- marker
B. Set-up
Create the pieces of the spider for your kids. To create the body, you’ll draw an oval shape. For the legs, you’ll make two rectangular shapes that are connected.
Lastly, you’ll need to cut out a long rectangular shape for the spider’s web.
C. Activity
To work on some cutting skills, your kids can cut out all the pieces you draw! Of course, you can also do this step for them if you’d like.
Have the kids create each spider by gluing the legs to the body with a glue stick.
Then, they will glue the web to the back of the spider’s body.Lastly, add on googly eyes and a mouth using a marker!
#36: Pumpkin Cutting Craft
This pumpkin-cutting craft is PERFECT for toddlers and preschoolers. It’s simple and a fun way to practice.
It also makes for a cute Halloween craft! I love the faces on the pumpkins.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- marker
- scissors
- glue stick
- foam pumpkins (optional)
B. Set-up
Draw a pumpkin shape on construction paper and cut it out. To make these pumpkins, I just traced one of the foam pumpkins we had.
C. Activity
We drew the faces on the pumpkins using a marker! This is a great way for your kids to practice drawing shapes.
Then, create lines for them to cut on at the top of each pumpkin (like they are carving the top of the pumpkin).
Cut out a small rectangle on brown paper for the stem of each pumpkin and paste it on the back.
Have the kids cut on the lines of each pumpkin! What a fun Halloween activity.

#37: Foil Painting Halloween Crafts
Foil painting is one of my favorite painting techniques to do with the kids. They love hearing the foil make sounds as they paint.
These Halloween crafts are fun and easy to create. It’s also a great way for kids to learn how to stay in the lines.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- foil
- hot glue
- acrylic paint
- paintbrushes
B. Set-up
Create your ghost shape or other Halloween shapes using a pencil on foil first. Then use a hot glue gun to outline the drawings.
C. Activity
Have the kids use acrylic paint to paint inside the lines of the hot glue that you created. The ghost one is really easy!
You’ll just need white and black paint to paint the ghost and the facial features. The pumpkin and spider web have different colors and are super fun to create too!

#38: Haunted House Craft
How cool is this haunted house craft? There couldn’t be any more perfect Halloween craft than this!
It was so fun putting together all the pieces and parts for this haunted house. It’s a must-try activity.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- glue stick
- glitter scrapbook paper
- glue
- watercolors
- scissors
B. Set-up
Create the pieces of the haunted house. If you check out my photo above, it’s pretty much a bunch of rectangles and squares that we cut out.
The scrapbook paper is for the windows and the giant triangle in the center.
C. Activity
Have the kids glue the pieces down on the paper as they want. Then, create a fence at the bottom of the haunted house out of black paper.
You can use a glue stick to glue down the colored paper, but the scrapbook paper needs school glue to stay down.
We created a moon and pasted it at the top of the paper. Lastly, use black watercolors to paint the sky.
You can’t go wrong with this one. No matter how you do it, it’ll look cool because it’s a haunted house!
#39: Popsicle Stick Halloween Crafts
These Halloween craft sticks are simple and fun to make.
It just took a few minutes to make these! They are great for a Halloween kid’s party!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- popsicle sticks
- paint
- markers
- googly eyes
- pipe cleaners
- masking tape
- glue
B. Set-up
The kids will paint the popsicle sticks! Depending on which one you want to make, you’ll need purple, green, orange, or white paint. You need 5 sticks for each one.
C. Activity
Once the sticks are dry, line them up and tape them together on the back so they will stay together. you may need a few pieces of masking tape.
Then, you’ll glue on googly eyes, draw on features, or wrap a pipe cleaner around the sticks!
#40: Bat Paper Plate Craft
Here’s another fun way to use watercolors. Create this beautiful paper plate Halloween craft with your kids. I love how the sky looks in the background.
We also love using recycled materials to make art. For example, the bats are made from bottle caps! How cool is that?
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper plate
- bottle caps
- acrylic paint
- black and yellow paper
- watercolors
- star glitter
- paintbrushes
- hot glue
B. Set-up
Paint the outer rim of the plate black using acrylic paint. Then, paint the inside a mix of blue and purple using watercolors!
Paint the bottle caps black.
C. Activity
Create the bat’s wings and ears from black paper and use hot glue to glue them on.
Hot glue the bats to the paper plate. Lastly, create a full moon using yellow cardstock paper and glue it on.

#41: Halloween Color by Code
This color-by-code Halloween craft is a fun way for kids to work on numbers!
My son loves the color-by-code printables SO much! They are by far his favorite learning activity.

#42: Candy Corn Noodle Craft
Candy corn is a staple fall and Halloween candy! Your kids will LOVE making these fun and colorful candy corn crafts.
Using noodles for crafting is fun and super easy for the kids to do.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardboard/paper
- acrylic paint
- ziplock bags
- parchment paper
- art trays
- googly eyes
- glue
- wheel pasta
B. Set-up
You can either paint the pasta noodles by hand or place them inside a ziplock bag with some acrylic paint and shake it up. Then, dump out the pasta on parchment paper to let it dry.
The wheel pasta won’t be completely covered with this method because of all the holes in the pasta, so you may have to hand-paint the spots it missed!
While the pasta is drying, you can draw and paint the candy corn on cardboard! Add googly eyes and a funny face on each one.
C. Activity
Once the pasta is dry, add a small amount of glue to the noodle and stick it down to the candy corn around the face you created. We even added some cute little cheeks!
This is a great color-matching activity for the kids! They should match the colored pasta to the paint color on the candy corn.
What a fun and colorful craft for fall or Halloween!

#43: Ghost Cutting Craft
Here’s another adorable and easy-cutting craft to work on those scissor skills with your kids.
This Halloween craft is great for a kid’s Halloween party at school. It’s simple, and the kids will love making them.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- white cardstock paper
- scissors
- Sharpie
- googly eyes
- glue
- pink paint
- circle paint brush
B. Set-up
Draw the ghosts on white card stock paper and cut them out. Then, glue on googly eyes and paint cheeks on the ghosts with pink paper and a circle paintbrush.
C. Activity
At the bottom of each ghost, create lines (straight, curvy, zig-zag, and boxy).
Have the kids use scissors to cut on the lines the best they can to make the ghosts.
You can even tape these up around your house as a Halloween decoration.
Want something cuter than a handprint craft? A footprint craft!
This Halloween craft is just too adorable. These mummies are great for kids of all ages!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- colored paper
- gray paint
- white yarn
- googly eyes
- glue
- tape
B. Set-up
Paint your little one’s foot gray and help them make a print on white card stock paper.
Make sure to press down their entire foot so it shows up completely. Then, wash off their foot, do it with the other foot, and repeat the process!
C. Activity
Once they are dry, cut the footprints out and glue on the googly eyes.
Tape a piece of white yarn to the back of the foot and have your little one wrap is around the footprint several times, covering it up as much as they want.
Then, once they are done, tape down the end to the back of the footprint again. Lastly, paste the footprint onto colored paper!
This is just adorable and the perfect Halloween craft keepsake.
#45: Alphabet Skeleton Craft
I have another fun letter collage activity for you for the letter X!
This one is adorable, too, since the kids get to paint their hands! I’m such a sucker for handprint and fingerprint art activities.
How to do this activity

Paint the white paint on your little one’s hands and upper arms.
Have them place them on the black paper and press down to create the prints!
C. Activity
Outline the X mark using chalk!
Lastly, you can glue Q-tips on to look like it’s the bones from an X-ray!

#46: Noodle Spider Craft
Make spiders out of noodles and a sponge for a fun and different Halloween craft.
I love the prints that sponges make. It’s the perfect supply to make a spider craft.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- sponges
- acrylic paint
- spiral pasta noodles
- plastic bags
- parchment paper
- art tray
- cardboard or card stock paper
- googly eyes
- glue
B. Set-up
Draw a circle shape on a sponge and cut it out. We created a few so we could make different colored spiders.

#47: Halloween Lava Lamps
These Halloween-themed lava lamps are great because they are a Halloween craft and a science activity!
Love how fun and easy these are to make. My kids love them each time we make them.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- jars
- baby oil
- Alka Seltzer
- acrylic paint
- water
- dry erase marker
- hot glue
- googly eyes
- small pink craft pom
- cardstock paper
B. Set-up
Create your Halloween characters on jars using a dry-erase marker! We made a pumpkin, Frankenstein, a ghost, and a black cat.
You can use a hot glue gun to add on googly eyes, and they will come off without staining the glass jar.
We also glued a pom for the nose on the cat and paper ears.
C. Activity
Fill up jars 1/2 way with baby oil or vegetable oil. We like to use baby oil because you can see the colors more clearly.
Then, in a bowl, mix a few squirts of acrylic paint and a touch of water. For the pumpkin, we used orange, Frankenstein green, the ghost white, and the cat black.
Dump the mix of paint and water in the jars. Then, once you are ready, you can break up an Alka Seltzer tablet and place them in.
Watch the reactions happen like a lava lamp! The reaction happens for a few minutes, but you can always add more in to keep the experiment going.

#48: Black Glue Spiderwebs
Black glue looks so cool! I love the outcome of black glue crafts.
Making spiderwebs is the perfect Halloween craft using black glue.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- glue
- black acrylic paint
- watercolors
B. Set-up
Make black glue by using a half bottle of Elmer’s school glue and mixing black acrylic paint inside.
I don’t measure out how much I use, I just eyeball it; you’ll need to squirt a bunch in and then shake it up.
C. Activity
Use a pencil to draw the spiderweb on cardstock paper. Then, the kids will use black glue to outline the pencil marks.
Use a hair dryer to dry the glue FAST! Or, this will be a two-day project, which is alright too, if you have the time.
Once the glue is dry, use watercolors to paint over the webs you created! It turns out so pretty.

#49: Fingerprint Resist Pumpkins
Here’s a simple Halloween craft that is great for toddlers and preschoolers.
Try this pumpkin fingerprint-resist craft. It’s so fun with all the Halloween colors!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock
- acrylic paint
- scissors
- glue stick
- masking tape
B. Set-up
Create a pumpkin shape out of paper and tape it to another sheet of cardstock paper (white, orange, or black).
C. Activity
The kids will dip their fingers in paint and make prints all over the sheet of paper and around the pumpkin shape.
Depending on what color paper you use, you can use different colored paints!
Make sure to make prints all around the pumpkin shape, so it shows up when you peel it off.
Once all the prints are made, they can slowly peel up the pumpkin shape to reveal what it looks like underneath!
Add paper eyes, a nose, and a mouth for the jack-o-lantern! What a cute Halloween craft.
#50: Sponge Halloween Prints (Part 2)
I love using sponges for crafts, so I had to make another set of Halloween craft sponges.
In this one, we made mummies, Frankenstein, and spiders.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- sponges
- scissors
- paint
- googly eyes
- cardstock
- marker
B. Set-up
Cut the sponges to make the shapes for each character. We made a circle for the spider and just cut a little bit off the top for the mummy and Frankenstein so I could fit a few prints on the page.
C. Activity
Paint the sponges for each one. The Frankenstein has black at the top and green at the bottom, the spider is black, and the mummy is grey.
Make prints on the cardstock paper. Then, glue on googly eyes for each one.
Add the details to each one. Cut strips of paper for the spider’s legs and for the mummy wrap. The Frankenstein needs bolts made out of paper.
Glue all these details on with a glue stick, and you have some cute Halloween sponge crafts!
#51: Invisible Ink
I have the perfect Halloween craft for you! Your kids will love revealing the Halloween pictures with invisible paint.
It’s easy to make, but it can be messy, so make sure you have clothes on you don’t mind getting stained and grab an art tray.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
B. Set-up
Create the invisible ink by mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water in a bowl.
Use a paintbrush to paint your pictures or messages on cardstock paper.
C. Activity
You have to wait for the baking soda and water to dry on the paper before starting. This takes about a half hour.
Mix 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric and a 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol.
Use Q-tips or a paintbrush to paint on top of the pictures to reveal the images! The kids LOVE seeing the pictures just show up.
Again, this can stain- so make sure to cover your surfaces with an art tray and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
#52: Floating Spider Experiment
This Halloween craft and science activity is a must-try for this season! Your kids will be amazed.
I do recommend that a grown-up help with this experiment because it can be a little tricky.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- Expo black dry-erase marker
- black Sharpie
- clear baking pan or dish
- spoon
B. Set-up
Draw a spiderweb on a piece of white cardstock paper using a Sharpie marker.
C. Activity
Place the spiderweb under a clear pan or dish. Add water to the pan. You want to make sure you have enough water in the pan so it makes it easy to tilt the spoon in it.
Then, use an Expo black dry-erase marker to make a spider on a spoon. One tip I have for you is to make the spider large in the middle of the spoon.
Then, slowly tilt the spoon down in the water and watch the spider appear in the water. We had to try this multiple times to get it right, so keep trying if it doesn’t work! You’ll get it!
Use a straw to blow around the spiders so they look like they are crawling on the web!

#54: Halloween Plate Ideas
I have three fun Halloween craft paper plates that are fun and easy.
We made a spiderweb, a tissue paper pumpkin, and a floating ghost plate.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper plates
- acrylic paint
- paint brushes
- hole punch
- white yarn
- cardstock paper
- googly eyes
- glue
- tissue paper squares
- box cutter
- popsicle stick
B. Set-up
When creating the spiderweb plate, use a one-hole punch to create holes around the outside of the plate.
If you are choosing either the spider web or floating ghost plate, you’ll need to paint the plate first, I usually do two coats of black paint for these crafts!
C. Activity
For the spiderweb, cut a piece of white string and tape one end on the back of the plate. The kids will string the thread all over the plate.
This is a great one to work on fine motor skills! You can use different strings; just tape the other end on the back of the plate.
When doing the pumpkin tissue paper craft, create small dots of glue all over the plate. Then, the kids can place the orange tissue squares all over the plate.
Cut out eyes, a nose, and a mouth for the pumpkin, and add a stem on the back of the plate with a glue stick.
Lastly, when doing the floating ghost plate, create an opening in the plate using a box cutter. Then, make a ghost shape on white cardstock.
Paste the ghost to a popsicle stick! Then, create a background on the plate using stars or make bats!

#56: Halloween Suncatchers
This Halloween craft is so much fun to make with the kids! They love using sticky paper.
I love that these suncatchers also work as a fun decoration at home or in the classroom.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- contact paper
- tissue paper squares
- scissors
- googly eyes
- glue
B. Set-up
Draw the images that you want to make on black cardstock paper. Then, draw another line on the inside of the image you drew to make an outline of the shape. It can just be a little smaller image than the first one.
Poke a hole in the paper and cut out the inside part of the image so you have your outline.
C. Activity
Cut off a piece of contact paper and peel off the paper. Place the contact paper on a flat surface.
Then, place on outline on top of the contact paper. The kids will place colored tissue paper squares to fill up the entire outline.
Then, cut another piece of contact paper big enough to fit the outline. Place it over the tissue paper squares the kids placed on, so they won’t fall off.
Cut off the extra contact paper on the sides. Then, you can add googly eyes or black cardstock paper for the face!
Tape up on the window and check out your awesome suncatchers!
#57: Halloween Free Pack + Mummy Craft
This is such a fun Halloween craft for kids, and it’s super easy to make!
