I know not everyone enjoys the colder weather that comes with winter (depending on where you live, of course). I, myself, enjoy getting cozy in a sweatshirt, with a warm cup of tea and a good book as snow falls outside.

Snow and Ice Creations
Let’s start off with some snowy preschool winter crafts!
If you live somewhere without snow, be sure to introduce the concept to the kids ahead of time. Non-fiction books, videos, and images of real snow are a great place to start.

I really enjoyed watching my students get creative with their popsicle stick snowflakes! I think next time, I’ll set it up as a winter art invitation where it’s even more self-directed.

Our name snowman craft is a great activity for preschoolers. Once your class has finished the final touches on their snowmen, they can compare and contrast the height of each snowman based on the letters in their names!
The children will have a blast creating and adding accessories to their very own cotton ball snowman.
In the melting snowman craft, students will use critical thinking skills as they decide where a snowman’s accessories will end up after all of the snow melts.
